104. Daughter

Teaser: In which the Thief argues with Cheryl about whether he did enough to rescue his daughter.

TAVERN INTERIOR Captain, Cheryl, Thief, Terry

[FRAME 1]

Cheryl: You know Susan's been crying non-stop since before you left? You could at least go talk to her.

Thief: We were never a couple, Susan made it very clear she didn't need my help raising her daughter.

[FRAME 2]

Cheryl: Well, now she does, and here you are standing around the tavern like you were for the first four years of her life. Do you even know your daughter's name?

Thief: Do you?

[FRAME 3]

Cheryl: That's not the point, she's not my daughter.

Thief: Look, I put myself in a position where I might be able to help find her, ok?

[FRAME 4]

Cheryl: Without speaking up or stepping out of the Hero's shadow while he does everything EXCEPT look for your daughter?

Thief: At least I would've been there! My mom said that's ninety percent of parenting.

Cheryl: There's no way that's what she meant.
