210. Food Alternatives
Teaser: In which the Ranger and Terry inquire about food alternatives, but there really is no substitute.
MARKET INTERIOR Terry, Ranger, Karen
[FRAME 1]
Ranger: Excuse me, I don't suppose you have any food for sale?
Karen: Food? No, I only sell magical items. Did you try the next stall? She sells herbs and things like that.
[FRAME 2]
Ranger: We asked there first.
Terry: Do any of your magic things help with hunger?
Karen: Hmm.... I suppose a healing potion might cure the physical effects.
[FRAME 3]
Ranger: Physical effects?
Karen: Weakness, dizziness, that sort of thing. But you'd still feel hungry, and almost definitely be in pain, because your stomach would just keep eating itself.
[FRAME 4]
Ranger: Gods, that sounds horrible!
Karen: It's like if you healed a stab wound but didn't take the sword out.
Ranger: Just stop talking!
