288. Public Perception
Teaser: In which the Chamberlain explains the importance of public perception when propping up a corrupt regime, as well as placating the military.
DUNGEON INTERIOR Don, Guard, Chamberlain
[FRAME 1]
Chamberlain: Look, I'd appreciate it if you don't spread any rumours about this... misunderstanding.
Don: You mean the King believing I'm a monster?
[FRAME 2]
Chamberlain: Yes, exactly. It's important that the populace retains its faith in the government, and the King is still the head of said government, even if some of his orders require... interpretation.
Don: If you're handling the day to day while the King is... like that, can you do something about the monsters in the town?
[FRAME 3]
Chamberlain: That sounds like a matter for the guard.
Don: Yes, exactly! Send the guard to get rid of the monsters!
[FRAME 4]
Chamberlain: The Captain commands the guard, you should ask him.
Don: But--
Chamberlain: Now more than ever, it's important to maintain appropriate jurisdiction.
