333. Monster Gods
Teaser: In which the Priest explains more about monster gods, which are like regular gods only less effable.
CHURCH INTERIOR Priest, Captain, Ranger
[FRAME 1]
Captain: Monsters have their own gods?!
Priest: Obviously monsters and men can't pray to the same gods. That would put the gods in an awkward position, especially when they're praying to kill each other.
[FRAME 2]
Captain: And they could have made Evan stronger?
Priest: I suppose, if this Evan is a priest of the Monster Gods.
[FRAME 3]
Captain: How would we tell?
Priest: Well, does he wear robes? Carry a religious symbol? Spend hours in quiet contemplation?
[FRAME 4]
Captain: No, none of that.
Priest: Does he have surprising insights or inexplicable wisdom?
Ranger: What's the opposite of wisdom? That's what he has.
