Teaser: In which Terry and Cheryl discuss whether the the Arch Fiend is responsible for all of their problems, and whether that even matters.
TAVERN INTERIOR Captain, Cheryl, Ranger, Terry
[FRAME 1]
Terry: If the Arch Fiend wiped our memories, do you think he made all our beds disappear too?
Captain: I guess he could have. But if he can do that, I don't have much hope for the Hero defeating him.
[FRAME 2]
Cheryl: It doesn't really matter where our beds went, we need to figure out where we're going to sleep.
Terry: You don't care if the Arch Fiend took them?
[FRAME 3]
Cheryl: The Hero can deal with the Arch Fiend, that's what heroes are for. We have more immediate concerns.
Ranger: Plus, who knows how long it'll take. Are we supposed to stay awake for months waiting for him to finish his quest?
[FRAME 4]
Cheryl: And what if it turns out it wasn't the Arch Fiend after all? What if the King just had an episode and decreed that nobody outside the castle can have a bed?
Captain: That's... plausible. Disturbingly so.
